The Department of Biomedical Engineering at SHU organized an industrial visit for BME students to the Centre of Innovation in Medical Education (CIME) at the Aga Khan University, on June 28, 2022.

The visit was held to give students practical experience of the workings of the biomedical engineering field. CIME-AKUH has a number of high, medium and low fidelity mannequins and simulators, which exhibit human physiological functions such as blood pressure, reactive pupils, working tear ducts, and heart and lung sounds. Students were given a demonstration of the facilities at CIME, followed by hands-on practice on different simulators, and insight into the working of these simulators.
