World Photography Day is held on August 19 to mark the importance of something that has become such an essential part of our lives – the camera and all the memories it captures.

Photography is something the majority of us now have not only become accustomed to, but have also come to cherish. Every moment we spend, we want to cement it forever in the form of a photograph. In fact, if there is a good day spent without a single photo of it, many consider it a wasted ‘photo op!’
