SHU Students Win Big at the 7th All-Pakistan DUHS-DICE Health Innovation Exhibition

Students from the Pharmacy and Biomedical Engineering programs at Salim Habib University participated in the 7th All-Pakistan DUHS-DICE Health Innovation Exhibition and won big!

The exhibition, which was held at the DOW University of Health Sciences, Ojha Campus, on Friday, November 4, 2022, featured over 350 innovative research projects from more than 40 universities all across Pakistan. Our students also presented their projects and wowed the judges and audience with their brilliant ideas.

Adam Jeraj, Mudassir Rafiq, and Mahnoor Maqsood from the Biomedical Engineering department presented a project titled Hand-e-ssist, which is an automated therapeutic arm they have designed to help stroke patients under the supervision of Engr. Hassan Ali and Engr. Tooba Khan, Lecturers at Salim Habib University, and won funding of Rs. 37,500 for it from sponsors at the Exhibition.

Furthermore, Pharmacy students Masooma Batool, Adila Izzatullah, Syeda Shaiza Hussain Rizvi presented their highly innovative project, a Turmeric Cast Formulation, and were awarded a Special Prize Winner cash prize of Rs. 20,000.
