Amna Jawed wins Best Paper Medal at 1st International Biomedical and Digital Health Conference 2022

The Department of Biomedical Engineering at Salim Habib University is pleased to announce that three Research Projects by our students were shortlisted for oral presentation at the 1st International Biomedical and Digital Health Conference 2022 organized by NED University of Engineering & Technology (NEDUET) in collaboration with The Institutions of Engineers Pakistan (IEP), which was held from the 22nd to the 23rd of November, 2022, at NEDUET. Students from various leading universities including SSUET, Ziauddin, Hamdard, NEDUET and Sindh University, Jamshoro, participated in the conference.

Following are the details of the research projects that were presented by the Department of Biomedical Engineering, SHU:

1. Optimization of Conductive Ink Materials for Designing Cost-Effective Force Sensitive Resistors for Soft Robotics by Amna Jawed, supervised by Engr. Tooba Khan, Engr. Gul Munir, and Engr. Hassan Ali

2. Mobile Servo Robotic Arm by Maryam Furqan and Nida Abdullah, supervised by Engr. Hassan Ali and Engr. Tooba Khan

3. Implementation of Hospital Information System in Psychiatry by Sadia Arshad, Muhammad Rizwan, and Hafsa Aijaz, supervised by Mr. Wasim Munir

We are immensely proud to inform you that among 18 full length articles, the research work of Amna Jawed, a 4th Semester student of Biomedical Engineering at SHU, titled 'Optimization of Conductive Ink Materials for Designing Cost-Effective Force Sensitive Resistors for Soft Robotics' supervised by Engr. Tooba Khan, Engr. Gul Munir and, Engr. Hassan Ali, was awarded the Best Paper Award, along with a Medal from the Institute of Engineers, Pakistan (IEP). Congratulations, Amna!
