Today is the International Day of Women and Girls in Science.This day is observed to encourage and celebrate girls and women who wish to pursue education and careers in science, and to call for the elimination of the huge gender gap in these male-dominated fields.Women and girls should be allowed safe, easy, and equal participation in and access to STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) fields.
