World Humanitarian Day is dedicated to celebrate humanitarians and their selfless spirit. Their commitment to human welfare is commendable and the efforts they put in to make life better for others are undoubtedly the saving grace of the entire human race.

In the face of cruelty, atrocities, and the darkness of the human heart, humanitarians give us hope that all is not lost.

For Pakistanis in particular, philanthropists such as the great Abdul Sattar Edhi and Dr. Abdul Bari Khan hold a special place, and it is a must to appreciate all they have done.
