The Pharmacy Outreach, Liaison and Regulatory Affairs Office at Salim Habib University is proud to announce that Shaheen ul Islam, a Doctor of Pharmacy graduate of the Class of 2023, has secured a placement as a Production Supervisor at Abbott.

This is what he has to say about his journey from campus to corporate life:

"Throughout my lifetime, I have always urged myself to be the best version of myself. Luckily, as a student, I have always been granted with the best opportunities in terms of academics.

I did my graduation in Pharm D from Salim Habib University. I loved being a part of this University and getting the multiple platforms it provided to me to face my fears and to explore myself and my skills.

The best part of academics at SHU was exposure to the corporate world through internships in renowned pharmaceuticals and hospitals such as Scilife Pharma, NICH, General Creek Hospital and Indus Hospital. This helped me gain practical experience and bridged the gaps between studies and being on the field. Having experienced such a career-oriented environment, I was successful in securing the position of Production Supervisor at Abbott Pharmaceuticals Pakistan, which is a major success for me. Special credit goes to my mentors for grooming me and my personality in such an honourable manner, for which I will always be grateful to them."
