Profile:

Dr Shaheena Anwar, Assistant Professor has more than 11 years of teaching, research and administrative experience. She also served Aga Khan University (AKU) as Instructor for research in Fetomaternal Medicine and Neonatal Health, Obs & Gyn, where she was involved in building research capacity, supervise departmental research proposals and obtain their approval from DRC (Departmental Research committee) and ERC, analyze clinical research data, interpret results, research write up, managed grants and supervise Clinical fellows of Fetomaternal Medicine and Neonatal Health, AKU. She also led, coordinate and evaluate international/national studies such as INTERBIO21st , IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) funded project, Registry for Birth Defects, Karachi alongside other hospital based retrospective studies. Before this, she worked as teaching assistant for PhD students, Tutorial facilitator for Masters students and Secondary supervisor for MBBS students at AKU. She also underwent full training from all six departments of Clinical lab at AKU.

She was also a visiting faculty at SZABIST. In addition, she has given several guest lectures on various topics pertaining to nutrition and biostatistics.

4. Effect of genetic polymorphisms on vitamin D pathways
