We are immensely proud to announce that Team Halo of Stars, the team from the Biomedical Engineering (BME) Department at Salim Habib University that participated in the NASA Space Apps Challenge, a two-day hackathon organized globally by NASA that was held at Salim Habib University on October 1-2, 2022, has placed as Runner Up!

The team, consisting of the highly talented Mr. Wasim Munir (Assistant Professor), Engr. Mahum Sabir (Research & Teaching Associate), Engr. Abdul Moiz (Research & Teaching Associate), and BME students Ms. Edina David, Ms. Fatima Siddiqui, and Ms. Fakhra Jalal, presented a brilliant idea on Exploring Venus Together: An efficient energy storage system for long duration missions that wowed the judges.

They will now be participating in the NASA Space Apps Challenge at a national level. We wish them the best of luck and congratulate them for this huge achievement!
